Hey, I’m Lindsey Jenkins, and I love to paint— whether it’s baseboards, windows, canvases, or even a brick wall. To me, the world is my canvas.Originally from NW Iowa, I now call Graham, TX home, where I live with my husband, two kids, three dogs, four cats, several chickens, a couple of ducks, and three horses—soon to be four!My creative journey started in marketing and graphic design (before Canva was a thing!) at National Roper’s Supply (NRSworld). Over the years, I’ve worked in branding, logo design, web graphics, trade show marketing, and business strategy. I still take on freelance marketing and design projects while helping run my family’s freight business—Fastback Freight. You call, we haul!
In recent years, I’ve shifted my focus to painting as a career. I’ve heard plenty of professional artists say I should find my niche, but honestly? I love it all. From fine art—Western lifestyle, pet portraits, and landscapes—to fun art like paint parties, custom-painted shoes and caps, window painting, and murals, I find joy in every brushstroke. My art embraces the freedom of imperfection. In contrast to polished, hyper-detailed styles, my paintings highlight visible brushstrokes and bold shifts in color. I let go of strict details and expectations, allowing creativity to take the lead. My work is a balance between chaos and control, and I hope it resonates with you as something both joyful and soothing—something that invites your eyes to pause, linger, and get lost in the subtle intricacies of imperfection. So, whether it’s on a wall, a window, or a piece of canvas, I’m here to bring creativity to life! Now booking for 2025—commissioned paintings, pet portraits, murals, window advertising, paint parties, and graphic design projects. Let’s create something extraordinary!
Northwest Iowa, but I've also spent time in WY, HI and even abroad for a couple of summers - all these places I have been able to work with and around horses, hence all the horse paintings.
Acrylic - mostly because it's to clean up and I can get pretty messy. In order to paint and spend time with the family, sometimes that means painting on the couch during movie night.
Well, it's no secret we have horses and we enjoy the western lifestyle. When my husband and I aren't at our kids' games we like to team rope and go to a few jackpots here and there. It doesn't happen very often, but we try,
I can't really say I have much formal training. When I picked up the paint brushes a couple years ago I spent a lot of time on Pinterest and checking out styles I liked and didn't like and trying to develop my own.
Hmmm, that's a good question. Well, I still feel like I am perfecting my craft (and always will be), but I want to add large scale paintings, even murals to my repertoire. Also, have my own studio/gallery that offered several different styles so the you could enjoy all types of art.
I am inspired by so many styles, but I really like to take a longer look at the more loose style of paintings. I like to see the brush strokes and see how the painter put it all together.
